Half day city tour to see the main sights of Quito.

Quito - Otavalo
Bus transfer to Otavalo. Visit of Calderón and San Antonio de Ibarra.

Otavalo - Cuicocha - Cotacachi
Visit to the famous Indian handicraft market in Otavalo. Drive to Cuicocha to visit the crater lake. Continue to Cotacachi.

Otavalo - Papallacta
Bus transfer to Papallacta to visit the thermal baths.

Papallacta
Hikes in the surroundings of Papallacta.

Papallacta - Cotopaxi
Drive along the “Avenue of the volcanoes” to Cotopaxi.

Cotopaxi National Park - Baños
Excursion to visit the Cotopaxi National Park. Drive along the Andes to the cosy valley of Baños.

Baños
Walking-tour through a valley in the primary forest.
day 10
Baños - Riobamba
Visit of the volcano Chimborazo, highest mountain of Ecuador. Continue to Riobamba along the “Avenue of Volcanoes”.

Riobamba - Cuenca
Train ride from Alausí or Guamote along the „Devil’s Nose“. Continue to Cuenca, visiting the Incan ruins of Ingapirca en route.
day 12
Cuenca
City tour with visit of a Panama Hat factory.

Cuenca - Vilcabamba
Bus ride to south on the Pan-American Highway. Visit of Saraguro and Loja.
day 14
Vilcabamba
Visit of the Podocarpus National Park.
day 15
Vilcabamba – Quito
Transfer to the airport to fly to Quito. Dinner at a colonial Restaurant.
day 16 Quito  
  Transfer to the airport.
