PERU - ON INCAS’ TRACES

day 1

Welcome by a folkloric group at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Welcome Cocktail. Dinner at a colonial restaurant.

day 2

Visit of the colonial centre of the town and a cloister. Drive to an old hacienda with horse breeding. Dressage show of the Peruvian Paso horses. Romantic lunch at a hacienda with specialties, folklore show and music. Return to Lima. Dinner at a gala restaurant.

day 3

Flight to Cuzco in the Andean Highlands, situated at an altitude of 3.400m. Welcome by a folklore group at the airport. Coca tea during the Check-In. Roundtrip through Cuzco, centre of the Inca culture, guided by a “historical Incan figure”. In the ruins of Sacsayhuaman Indian women, typically dressed, will hand out presents for the guests. Cocktail and sun festival ceremony in the Korikancha Temple.

day 4

Drive with the chartered elegant Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu. Music, cocktails and specialties on board. Visit of the ruins of Machu Picchu with Inca ceremony executed by an Inca, who speaks the Inca dialect. Lunch, train ride to Cuzco with champagne, snacks and music.
Dinner at a typical restaurant in Cuzco.

day 5

Drive to the sacred Urubamba Valley to the picturesque Indian village Chincheros (market day on Sundays) as well as Maras and Moroy with the salt instalments. Joint salt extraction after a very old formula. Hike to the saline. Visit of the fortress Ollantaytambo and village with historical irrigation canals. Return to Cuzco.
Farewell evening at San Francisco Monastery. Big Flower carpet with logo. Decoration with typical Incan costumes, music, dance, show and firework.

day 6

Return flight to Lima, lunch at a seafood restaurant on the coast. Opportunity for shopping or visit of a museum. Return flight.
